Summer is almost here. Only a dozen more days. It’s that time to begin thinking about how you can continue to support your child in their continued learning. Encourage time under a shade tree or in a park with a good book. Creating summer reading lists can be a major help in sustaining reading levels, and improving as the summer continues.
Take time to play games with your child. Kids love to play with their friends, but they also love it when you join them in playing catch in the back yard, a quick ball game, or a board game. Summer time can be a great family reconnection time.
“True compassion means not only feeling someone’s pain, but also being moved to help relieve it.” Daniel Goleman
